A question for you. Do you really believe this story, the story in the bible about sin? Was there really an Adam and Eve?? Is this how sin really came about? Or was the Adam and Eve story really just a metaphor for bad things and bad conscious? Well, what do you reckon? Myth, truth, metaphor, analogy?
This is a sermon I preached last week and some people have requested a look at it on this site. I hope you like it.
Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. There is some contention about the terminologies used here. What is an apostle, what is a prophet, what is an evangelist and what is a pastor and teacher. I was tossing up about preaching from Philippians or Ephesians in the morning. Early this week I was still tossing it up. I asked myself the usual questions, What does God want me to say to these people from these passages. Then I stumbled across a quote that has become quite popular. What would Jesus do? It stopped me a bit short. What does God want me to say? Full stop.
